Pretty awesome. I’m getting the same camera next week! I don’t know what filters you were looking at, but they are only like 20$ for one, very much worth the price.

I use shutter priority the most. I think shutter priority is easy enough and full auto mode is unnecessary.
hmmn, BTW. you hate auto mode? yet this is your first dslr? did you have a creative compact or something or are you just saying what every other dslr user says to make you sound ‘good’? i love auto,.. well, program mode, but same as :L its really useful for quick shots where you dont have time to meter set aperture and shutter speed etc, and 9/10, perfect exposure
, so yeah, dont bash auto mode… well not program anyways, bash full auto all you like.

Did you want image quality or convenience of the video capability? If you want image quality, get the XSi because it’s better than the T1i. I got the T1i because I’m a beginner and I don’t know when I will upgrade to another body. Just in case you you didn’t hear about the deal, Canon is having a $200 instant rebate if your buy either the XSi or T1i kit with the 55-250mm IS. The deal is up until the end of Jan 2010 I think. You can double check on the Canon site =]
just couldn’t wait til Christmas huh ? great video . i’m looking to get a digital slr from the canon rebel line . it’ll be my first one so i’m kinda picky on which i should get .
