Does the $700 Canon Rebel T1i really shoot better HD video than $2700 Canon 5D?

@TheDRAVILES – yes it does shoot 24fps at 1080p but it also does 30fps at 1080p it has 2 options in 1080p. do your homework before you make untrue comments please. thanks
Only difference I see is in the brightness of the color (5D seems daker) and de depth of field. I think getting the 500D with like a 50mm 1.4f lens would get you the same focus.
i wouldnt buy the t2i. mainly because i bought the t1i and i know for a fact that i will upgrade soon. most people told me to get a t2i but i refuse because id rather spend $2700 on a camera that i may never have to upgrade from rather than waste an extra $200 just so i have to upgrade again in the future. oh and oh course the 5D shoots WAY better video than the t1i. although with a few simple camera setting changes the t1i can have a little better looking video. but 5D all the way!

@KVNxx nice little camera i just went ahead and spend the extra 100 and got the t2i since it takes video in 1080 in 30 fps instead of 20 and has a few extra mega pixels. cant really go wrong with extra specially when there all used pixels.
@warkilla i dont know what you’re talking about, but im able to zoom while recording with the lens that came with the kit. oh and i got the t1i

They are all taken with factory setting… no adjustments on the camera at all.

This is worthless. Try actually uploading the video at 720p or 1080p so we can get a real look at what’s going on here. Downscaling it to 480p shows nothing.
