My sister’s dog. Taken with Canon Rebel T1i (aka 500D or Kiss X3) and roughly edited in Apple iMovie. Sigma 18-200mm 1:3.5-6.3 and Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II. 1280×720 at 30 fps.

ur dog is sooo cute. i also wanna get that camera looks great!
@golden1sProductions Yeah, I think I wrote about the unlocking method last year. The technique works, but I don’t recommend it actually. It’s time consuming, and you’ll need lightweight lens and a tripod. I tried this with the 400mm L lens to shoot a moon, but the lens was too heavy.
@ytsutano The only way i’ve read about is either disconnecting your lens slightly so you can set the aperture in still mode and turn the lens slightly and then switch to video. Or just buy old manual lenses and an adapter.
Well Done video! Liked the transitions and and the scrapbook layout. Music went perfect!
Does anyone know if you can get a lens that lets you zoom while recording for SLR’s that shoot HD video??
this video was put together really well, and the doggy was soo cute… the music was also really good. reminds me of the old disney days! lol
T1i this camera is freakin awesome!
all about the lens
t1i
T1i or d5000?
do me and all fellow t1i users a favor. DO NOT EDIT VIDEOS FROM IT OUT IN MOVIE MAKER. movie maker sucks, as soon as you put a vid in movie maker, it’s like the quality just completely drops. go buy adobe premiere or vegas, hell, pirate it for God’s sake. theres even a few free software thats better. but the t1i is a GREAT dslr for the money. dont ruin it with bad programs
cute dog
Thank you guys for the help and quick ??? do the codecs package cost anything ?? if yes how much ?
@mpizle10 Unfortunately, yes. You can download programs that can convert your videos to a different format. I had the same problem a few days ago. I just bought the T1i and wanted to put a video on Windows Live Movie Maker and couldn’t do it. I actually downloaded the “codecs package” and it works fine.
i think so. canon’s applying h.264 or better for its videos and mov files are a little less compressed than the mpegs resulting to better clarity. If ever you’re gonna use the 720p or 1080, i think you should invest on a better video card for your pc if you want to edit.
ever watched toy story?
thats the only hint i’m gona give you.
I need help fellow T1i owners are the videos this great camera forcefully have to be Quicktime format or is it just me HELP !!!!!!!!!!
whats the song name?
No, that’s exposure compensation (shifting +/-2EV relative to the automatic value). We’re talking about the absolute exposure settings like 5D Mark II.
“Exposure settings” may be misleading term, it’s more like the manual mode with manual shutter speed, aperture, ISO settings.
See my other video (watch?v=SAnU6fhJjxo) for why exposure compensation is not enough for the video mode in some cases. Basically, if you have a moving bright object in dark background, you’ll get very unstable exposure.
The T1i DOES have manual exposure settings. There are multiple videos on how to change it.
true,
yea my cousins getting it so he can take his photography class, and i just wanna take some pictures aswell, and post on devianart or sumtin like that.
i think ima tell him to get the package, it includes the camera,a bag,and i think this lens that you have.
Yeah, this camera can’t replace the existing video cameras. Shallow depth of field requires accurate focusing. But this camera does very well in terms of image quality.
The lens was $400.
ah ok i seen how it looks now,not so good,my sony point and shoot camera records better than that lol, well the focus atleast.
how much did your lens cost you?
im just waiting to sell my piano then im getting this and ill have some sample pictures/videos up.
Autofocus doesn’t work with a moving object. If you use autofocus while recording, the microphone picks up the noise.
I uplaoded a guitar video as an example where autofocus might be used (watch?v=R5MnygCjcBQ). I used autofocus before the recording.
But you see, autofocus only on fixed object is somewhat pointless. For this reason, I can’t call it a real autofocus for video shooting. It’s designed for live mode shooting of stills after all.
wow great quality,i guess im going with this camera. looks excellent in video quality, but its gona take me some time to get the hang of using the Manual Focus, cus everyone keeps saying the autofocus sucks, would the auto focus still be good if ur just shooting a person, like a Music Video or something?
