Can’t wait for it. I have a separate recording microphone so I can just edit the video and replace the sound for better quality
Canon camera is not reliable, their repair technician said that the electronic component may fail to work at any time.

No, the T1i does not have external mic support. I wish it did, a lot of my video’s sound would turn out better. The built-in mic is the only mic available to consumers with the T1i.

its the same camera. americans and europeans call them by different names. go figure.
Like everyone else said, it’s the same thing. For a certain line of cameras, every time they make a new model, the add 50 to the number. For example, the previous model (the Rebel xSi) was 450D, and now, the Rebel T1i is 500D.
We Americans love associations which make us seem more like individuals.
Both the Rebel T1i and 500D are the same!
@54eire “Rebel T1i” is the name for the American market. Apparently Canon thinks this is necessary for marketing purposes
