I just bought the Canon 15 mm fisheye lens for my T1i and need some advice on usage and comparison to the 5D Mark II. Thanks in advance!

It cannot cover a full 180 degrees on your T1i since your sensor is so small. The EF 15 mm lens is designed to cover 180 degrees when i is used on a 35 mm SLR or full frame digital camera like the 1Ds and 5D cameras. The equivilant of putting a 24 mm lens on a 35 mm camera
IF Canon made a fisheye lens for your camera, it would be about a 10 lens or shorter.
There is one generic fisheye lens made you might want to consider (although since you already took the plunge before asking, it may be a little too late) is the Tokina 10-17 mm fisheye zoom.
The crop factor will kill it, this is a moderate fisheye lens even on a full frame camera (it is the diagonal type which means a full frame image is recorded, the centre is largely unaffected with the distortion really coming in at the edges) on a cropped sensor camera you will lose this effect pretty much.
Sigma do a couple of very wide DC EX fisheye lenses which will give either a diagonal fisheye effect (like the 15mm would on a 5D2) or a circular effect (very very distorted with extreme vignetting)
Both of these lenses are ideal for a 500D:
If you are using a 5D2 as well then you need the DG version:
Unfortunately the crop of the 500D will make it difficult to get a fisheye to suit both.
I would also say on a general point that fisheye lenses are great for very specific applications, they can be a novelty you tire of quickly, why not hire first?
Because that is one of the many DSLRs that has the APS sized sensor you will want to look for lenses that are fisheyes made for that sized sensor.
Below I listed a link that will web page listing 3 lenses.
Hope this helps.
