When is the release day of the Canon Rebel ͊i? I’m expecting the price of the t1i to go down when this happens. When does the T2i come out? Or when does the T1I go on sale?
I want to buy a T1i but I think I should wait for the prices to go down! Any suggestions are welcome!! Thanks!

Well I have been “fooling around” in this business for 45 yrs. I too thought the same thing when I heard Canon was introducing the Canon Powershot SX20 IS to replace the SX10 IS. Thinking they would drop the price on the SX10 IS, I waited. Wrong! Canon introduced the SX20 at $50 more than the SX10, But at the same time raised the price of the SX10 to match that of the Newly introduced SX20 IS! Now the SX10 is sold out, and the only thing available is the SX20 IS at the higher price! “Grrrr”!!
So make of my experience what you will.
The T2i was released almost two months ago…
I’m in Canada, and most of the stores that still have the T1i in stock are selling them for more than $200 off.
Not sure if that’s the regular price, and the T2i is just 200 bucks higher, but the T1i is 679.99 while the T2i is 899.99. The store I’m looking at is advertising the the T1i is $37.99 off regular price.
